Applying

Applications are accepted up to one year prior to the month of the reservation. A deposit is due at the time of your application. The deposit can be check or money order. Upon the receipt of your deposit, your reservation is entered onto the master calendar. Your check may be held 2-5 days while the City is processing the application. Once the application is approved, you will receive a confirmation letter. You are booked!

Eligibility

Applicants must be 21 years old, and submit an application in person at the Heritage Park office. The applicant must be present for the entire event. This is a condition of receiving the deposit back.

Hours and Capacity

The park may be booked for a maximum of five hours for a reception and seven hours for both the reception and ceremony. Receptions are held from 4 pm. To 9 pm. or 5 pm. to 10 pm. The applicant is allowed two hours for setting up and one hour for clean up. An extra fee will be charged for additional clean-up time.

The capacity for receptions and weddings is 180.

Fees

The fee balance is due 30 days prior to the event. If you are booking on short notice (less than 30 days) the entire fee is due immediately. Fees are subject to change. However, your fee will not change once you have submitted your application.

Cancellation

The $200 deposit is not refunded if you cancel with less than three months notice. Only half of the deposit ($100) will be kept if the event is cancelled with three months notice or more. No exceptions.

Refunds

The deposit or a portion of it will be kept if any part of the contract has not been met by the applicant, you, your guests, or contracted employees. However, if all the requirements are met, the entire deposit will be refunded 4-6 weeks after the event. The deposit can only be refunded to the applicant who holds the permit for the event. No exceptions!

Music

Live, as well as amplified music is permitted. D.J.s must bring their own tables, extension cords, and other supplies.

Beverages

Alcoholic beverages are available through the park’s caterer only. Underage drinking is not allowed, and it is your responsibility to oversee the behavior of your guests. A Heritage Park Ranger will be on hand to monitor your event. The Ranger has the authority to close the bar, or end the event, if the situation calls for intervention.

Decorating

Decorations cannot be fastened to buildings, tables, or trees. Use of glitter, confetti, rice, or birdseed is not allowed. However, flower petals are allowed. If candles are used, they should be placed in a container that will catch dripping wax. Candles may only be used on the tables, unless you have prior authorization from staff. Check with the Park Coordinator if you plan to use any other equipment beyond what is provided by the Park.
